Silverstar Chemical History

2025
  • Preparing for Annual Production Capacity of 6,000 Tons &Accelerating Production Process Automation.

Silverstar is currently working on restructuring its facilities and automating production processes to expand its annual production capacity from 3,000 tons to over 6,000 tons. Through improved production efficiency via facility reorganization and automated measurement systems, the company is strengthening its ability to meet customer delivery deadlines. Using packaging automation and smart factory foundations, Silverstar aims for a highly efficient production system rather than simply expanding volume. The company has established itself in the polyamide industry with two key strengths: "shortened delivery times + development of high-performance new products."

2022
  • Selection as a Global Strong Small Enterprise &Green Technology Certification

The company actively developed flame-retardant, biomass, and biodegradable polyamides and secured technology competitiveness based on ESG principles by obtaining Green Technology Certification. The Technology Research Institute was selected for numerous government projects, which accumulated as cases proving the reliability of Silverstar's original polyamide technology. In the same year, the company solidified its position as a technology company both domestically and internationally through its selection as a Global Strong Small Enterprise and receiving the Gyeongnam Small Business Award.

2021
  • Selected as a Promising Export SME, Securing High-Difficulty Technical Customers

Silverstar was selected as a promising export SME, highly regarded for its speed in developing new products, quality stability, and ability to respond to high-quality product development requests. Organic collaboration between the technology, sales, and production departments continued, with entry into the filter and automotive parts industries particularly based on high-function product groups.

2019
  • ISO 9001, 14001 Certification, Five Million Dollar Export Tower Award, and Introduction of Steel Belt Equipment

Obtaining international quality management (ISO 9001) and environmental management (ISO 14001) certifications demonstrated that Silverstar's manufacturing technology meets global standards. The company emphasized the environmental friendliness and stability of polyamide products and quickly responded technologically to European customers' RoHS/REACH requirements. With the Five Million Dollar Export Tower Award and the introduction of steel belt equipment, production capacity was significantly enhanced, leading to tangible results in polyamide exports.

2018
  • Three Million Dollar Export Tower Award: Visualization of Overseas Demand for Polyamide

Through transactions with various global chemical material companies, Silverstar's polyamides were recognized for their technological prowess and quality competitiveness. Simultaneously, domestically, the company highlighted the advantages of its polyamides, diversified application areas, and increased brand reliability in the domestic market.

2017
  • Production Line Expansion and Efficiency Enhancement

In response to increasing demand for polyamide products, Silverstar expanded its mass production factory and introduced underwater-type molding machines No. 1 and 2. All equipment was efficiently arranged and creatively improved under the leadership of the production department to maximize product production efficiency. Additionally, an emergency operation system was established, providing the technical foundation for stable product supply at this point.

2016
  • Beginning of Global Technical Cooperation

This was the year global market entry was fully launched. Silverstar built trust through consistent technical collaboration with customers from product development to application. Internally, the company developed the capability to rapidly develop customized products through close collaboration between the production and technology departments. This was a symbolic period of advancement as a technical partner for global customers rather than simply an exporter.

2013
  • Selected as an Export Startup Company, Initial Signal for Global Entry

Silverstar was selected as an export startup company, recognized for its technology-based quality and application development capabilities. Customer data accumulated through close communication with domestic clients led to overseas customer-tailored polyamide development and supply, which played a decisive role in securing trust from American, Japanese, and European customers in the future.

2011
  • Start of In-house Production of Polyamide Hot Melt

This period marks Silverstar's most significant turning point. Using the introduced equipment, the company began producing general-purpose ink polyamide products and launched its first manufactured polyamide hot melt. In this process, Silverstar established a technology internalization system capable of independently handling everything from raw material selection to blending technology to quality inspection. This serves as the starting point for Silverstar's technological capability, which became the foundation for developing numerous customized polyamide products thereafter.

2010
  • Relocation and Expansion of Gimhae Headquarters and Construction of Production Facilities, Beginning of Production Base Transition

Silverstar expanded and relocated its Gimhae headquarters and established production facilities, laying the groundwork for transition to an in-house production system. By directly introducing production facilities that previously relied on contracted processing, the company imprinted its quality control capabilities through self-production in the market. From this period, Silverstar began to grow beyond a distributor into a manufacturing-based specialized company capable of responding to customer-tailored technical needs.

2007
  • Changed Company Name to 'Silverstar Chemical Co., Ltd.', Establishing Identity as a Specialized Material Company

By changing its name to Silverstar Chemical, the company clarified its direction as a technical material company. Based on the management philosophy of trust, harmony, and sensitivity, Silverstar established its identity as a 'technology-based partner' solving customer problems.

2006
  • First Steps in Technology-Based Chemical Material Distribution

Silverstar Chemical began business in 2006, focusing on pigment distribution. Beyond simple sales, the company built its technical response capabilities from the ground up by directly performing color mixing and quality control (QC). The accumulated understanding of materials and customer customization experience from this period became the foundation for later entry into the polyamide adhesive market.
